Speaking to my sister Sheila yesterday we talked about our Grandfather she said as he was an Officer he was well looked after compared to POW's in WW2 he learn't German listened to classical music I now where his liking for Wagner came from the biggest problem was boredom after hs wife died he and his sister Kitty went on a Rhine Cruise it was the first time he had been back to Germany since the First World War
