He was baptised at St Werburgh's Church 28th Sept 1900 probably at the same time as his sister Gertrude Florence Palmer who was born 4th Aug 1900 Although she was born Gertrude Florence The family always called her Kitty She used to think that people mistook her for The Queen Mother as they were born on the same day same Month same Year by the time of the 1901 census the family were living 120 Coronation Road When he was 13 the family had moved to 34 Tyndale's Park Road He went to Clifton College and was Confirmed in Clifton College Chapel 15th March 1913 The family later moved to Oak Lodge, Stoke Bishop
